Kilda was the village elder of the settlement near the castle the War Master set up. She accused the Eighth Doctor for the abduction of Meri. He had earned her patience after he thought that the Master was behind Meri's abduction, and theorised that he was afraid of the Master. She forced the Doctor to allow her to come with him to the Master's castle. She told the Doctor a story about a magician in the castle which could raise the dead, the Doctor told her that he thought that it was the exiled time lord Magos.
