Drane was the governor of the Drane Institute. He informed Sendaya that they had a patient who thought he was the War Master. He chastised Shilling for playing games with the Master. He wanted to know why the Temporal Inquisition was called to the planet. He was determined to prove that the Master was an imposter and didn't believe that there was a TARDIS in the basement.
