mUndo revision 3610545 by BlueSupergiant (talk) Stop seeing things that are not there; please read the book if you wish to make blanket statements. Also stop adding objectively poor wording.

Once again attempting compromise... if this does not work then I don't know what else will.

I tried my hardest to engage with BlueSupergiant on the talk page, but thus far they have been unreceptive to anything I said; they are intent on pushing an opinion derived from a single interview and ignoring all contrary evidence from the novel and other statements by the author.

mIf you wish to make that argument, then use the talk page. Mammone wrote I, Alastair with the idea that the Leader was human, so that is how the account is written in this article in order to avoid conflating the two accounts as was the case previously. This Wiki makes sure to acknowledge all accounts even if they are contradictory.
+740
One can only use the text itself as a source; the opinions of authors which they expressed in interviews can be, and often are, contradicted by future authors. Mammone said he wrote the Leader as human in an interview, but the text does not explicitly confirm this and leaves it open ended. At least in Timewyrm the actual text suggests the Leader may be the Doctor's counterpart, while I, Alastair does not explicitly identify him as human
−740
See talk page. The Leader was written to be a human in I, Alistair, even if they were not explicitly confirmed as such. If we were to go only acknowledge what is explicitly confirmed and ignore the intentions, then we would also have to ignore the account of the Leader being an alternate Doctor, as that is never explicitly confirmed in Timewyrm either. This article instead treats these as two differing accounts.
+740
The Leader is never explicitly identified as human in I, Alastair; this came from an interview, not from the book itself. The novel itself is extremely vague about the Leader's background and does not explicitly contradict Timewyrm
