Bowie: An Illustrated Record was a book published in 1981, written by Callum Murray and Tony Cerqua. Its pages 87 to 90 stated that most of the songs that would make it onto the album Low were recorded in France, and that Bowie remounted them in West Berlin to mix the existing songs and work on additional material.
