Article description: (description ) This attribute controls the content of the description and og:description elements. | The Genetrix was an IASA probe on the Lovell Platform, orbiting Venus in the 2090s. It consisted of a balloon made of dynastream attached by cord to Lovell and a mission pod below with instrumentation. On its third mission into Venus's atmosphere, it was attacked by a Wispy, a gaseous species native to the planet. The Twelfth Doctor and Clara Oswald arrived onboard to help the probe's crew, Devika Cullen and Rick Attah. The atmospheric sifters released by the Genetrix had been sucking up the Wispies, causing one to attack, and the Doctor purged the sifters. A group of Wispies lifted the Genetrix back up to Lovell.
