Ronald Waldman was a member of the BBC's Programme Management Board in at least 1963. He was an ally of Sydney Newman in a minor dispute that erupted in the BBC in late June 1963 over the length of episodes. Waldman argued in a 28 June meeting that the 25-minute length episode was optimum for overseas sale. (REF: The First Doctor Handbook)
