Thelonious Monk was a legendary jazz musician whose name was once partially used by the Monk as a disguise. He called himself "Abbot Thelonious" whilst in Ireland in 1006 with a disguised Lucie Miller. The Eighth Doctor's knowledge of jazz made short work of the Monk's deception. (AUDIO: The Book of Kells)
