Fan of Doctor Who since the end of the 70s, I am embarrassed to admit that The Time Monster was one of the inspirations for my MA in classical studies. I finally visited the archaeological dig on Thera [Santorini] in 2005. Thanks to my scholarly bent, I actually enjoy ferreting out details in canon and hunting down primary sources. Quotes or it didn't happen.
Despite starting in the Pertwee era (thanks to the PBS rerun cycle) and recording/watching all the extant classic Who serials broadcast on American TV in the 80s, it's the Fifth Doctor era that I know best. I own every audio and DVD for Peter Davison and Sarah Sutton. If I'm being pedantic on some nitpicky detail, it's most likely because I have just consulted the relevant clip.
