History of the Doctor Who Universe
- Tobias Vaughn is contacted by the Cybermen and agrees to help them in their plan to invade Earth. Using technology provided by his alien allies, Vaughn develops the micromonolithic circuit. An electronics revolution occurs on Earth, and Vaughn's International Electronics (IE), becomes the world leader in the industry (DW: The Invasion). (Note: This is the dating suggested in the actual story, though it contradicts the dating suggested for other UNIT era stories, and is itself contradicted by NA: Iceberg and MA: Downtime. See UNIT dating controversy and NA: No Future for further explanation.)
- A film version of "The Four Musketeers" is released. Genetic material from its prirncipal stars, Michael York, Oliver Reed, Richard Chamberlain, and Frank Finlay, will be used to create Reprises of D'Artaganan, Athos, Aramis, and Porthos in Europa in the far future (MA: Managra).
- Reginald Tyler dies, still working obsessively on revisions to his The True History of Planets (EDA: Mad Dogs and Englishmen).
