Buy, Buy, Baby! (comic story) was a Doctor Who Adventures comic strip published in 2011.
Summary
The Doctor, Amy Pond and Rory Williams had found themselves in an alien market place in the year 12002. The crowds are stampeding, trampling each other in a frenzy to buy, even Amy and Rory seem affectd by the urge to buy stuff (Rory wants a new holo disk and Amy a refreshing drink). A scan with the sonic screwdriver reveals all the advertising posters in the city are made from psychic paper. Passing himself off as Doctor John Smith from Pest Control the Doctor is granted an audience with the head of Sluggman advertising agency. Mr Sluggman is a giant slug sitting in the middle of a large room filled with with gold and treasures and wearing a thought-projecting helmet that is controlling the psychic posters. Before the Doctor can stop him Sluggman uses his influence to turn Rory and Amy against him and they attempt to capture him. But the Doctor snatches Amys can of fizzy Hyper Cola and threatens to spray it all over his treasures. While Sluggman is distracted Rory snatches the helmet from Sluggmans head and passes it to Amy who changes all the posters in the city turning them into rip-off warnings. Sluggman is ruined and with customers queing to get there money back he faces being sued and sent to debtors’ prison. Sluggman panic and flees in his craft empty-handed. Amy looks forward to a nice cup of tea to get rid of the taste of Hyper Cola!

References
- The Doctor passes himself off as a Pest Control inspector investigating reports of Zarbi.
Notes
- With little sign of mobility, enthroned in his chair with the thought-projecting helmet, surrounded by his wealth, it is likely that the frontage for Sluggman Advertising Agency is a holographic front to his spacecraft, in which case when Sluggman leaves he doesn’t actually leave empty-handed as Rory suggests!
