Hermann was the butler of Count Scarlioni. He sold several items on behalf of the Count, such as Gutenberg Bibles. When the Count returned to 1979, he was in his true form and Hermann was nearby. Not knowing it was the Count, Hermann threw a pot at the Count, triggering an explosion that killed his master. (DW: City of Death)
