Behind the Scenes
The Cult of the Black Sun may be related to, or named after, the Order of the Black Sun from DWM: 4-D War and Black Sun Rising. It would certainly be in keeping for Faction Paradox to identify with an organization against whom the Time Lords fought in a previous Time War.
