The BFA prefix doesn't seem appropriate for the Big Finish version as that appears to specify audio stories only (which these aren't) while using PDA/EDA for the BBC collections implies the short stories are the same kind of thing as a novel (which seems unsatisfactory to me for all sorts of reasons). :simple answer: we haven't come up with those prefixes yet. IMO, I think the Short Trips stories could have their own category to embrace both the BBC Books and Big Fnish anthologies. --[[User:***Stardizzy***|***Stardizzy***]] 15:10, 3 March 2007 (UTC) | |||

Short stories[[edit source]]
Er, I'm just wondering what the procedure is for categorising short stories of various kinds - particularly what prefix to use when referring to short stories published in places like Short Trips (both BBC and Big Finish versions).
- simple answer: we haven't come up with those prefixes yet. IMO, I think the Short Trips stories could have their own category to embrace both the BBC Books and Big Fnish anthologies. --***Stardizzy*** 15:10, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
- How complex is the procedure to decide on a new prefix? It would make more sense to come up with a new prefix now (I would favour DWST, but that's by-the-by) than to have to go back and laboriously change every instance of a referenced Short Trip at a future point (at least one Short Trip prose story is referred to on the wiki with a BFA prefix already). - you'd have to go and change the prefixes individually.
- as far as the prefix, we have done that on the fly with no set procedure. I would just go with ST myself, as the DW would seem somewhat redundant. (as far as me making up a Doctor Who Annual prefix, I did that to distinguish between that and Dalek Annuals and the one K-9 Annual.) --***Stardizzy*** 15:32, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
