George was a cameraman for British broadcaster Planet 3, commonly working with reporter Francis Currie.
During the attempted coup of Britain by ICIS, Currie contacted George for some research into the background of British press officer Major Philip Kirby. George found a suppressed news story showing Major Kirby was the father of Captain Andrea Winnington. Currie and UNIT used the info to help stop the coup. (BFU: The Longest Night)
Two weeks later George and Currie recorded an altercation in an alley where UNIT soldiers were gunning down a plague victim. Hustling the footage back to Planet 3 for safekeeping, George was assaulted by ICIS troops who grabbed the tape and immediately broadcast it, marking UNIT as outlaws. Currie and George then recorded UNIT's escape, exoneration, and release of the cure for the virus. (BFU: The Wasting)
