In a universe other than the one that the renegade Time Lord known as the Doctor called home, a person who logically would have been called the Tenth Doctor was the result of the regeneration of a "Ninth Doctor".
Biography
The tenth incarnation came into being when his previous incarnation regenerated after the Daleks exterminated him on the planet Tersurus.
This very short-lived incarnation described himself as "cute, sexy and lick-the-mirror handsome". Possessed of an overly confident and flirtatious personality, he referred to his companion Emma as "the only companion I've ever... had" and said that the Master had "nice tits", which were really Dalek etheric beam locators. He noted that in this new body he felt he would be very good at rewiring.
He regenerated when trying to fix the Daleks' broken zectronic beam and turned into his next incarnation. (DW: The Curse of Fatal Death)
