P.R.O.B.E. was a series of four videos produced by BBV Productions and made on a semi-professional basis.

Overview

The videos starred Caroline John as Elizabeth Shaw, her character from Doctor Who, who now worked by the Preternatural Research Bureau.

Many actors from Doctor Who, notably former Doctors Jon Pertwee, Peter Davison, Colin Baker and Sylvester McCoy and Louise Jameson formerly Leela) appeared in the series playing different roles, the latter appearing in all four productions as the character of Patricia Haggard. Due to licensing restrictions, no explicit reference to the Doctor were allowed.
