Chiggocks were genetically engineered food animals created by splicing the genes of chickens and pigs. They resembled large headless turkeys. (EDA: To the Slaughter) They possessed extremely limited intelligence, at best, possessing no central nervous system, and were genetically engineered to "walk into the oven". The Doctor referred to them as "primitive".
