The French Revolution was the title used for several Earth textbooks on the historical event of the same name.

Coal Hill School history teacher Barbara Wright gave a copy of one book entitled The French Revolution to her pupil Susan Foreman. Susan, who had either visited the revolutionary period with her grandfather, or was aware of it through her grandfather, immediately noted errors in the book. The book is unusual as no author is credited on the cover. (DW: An Unearthly Child) Susan would later visit the French Revolution era herself (DW: The Reign of Terror).

Later, Ace found a copy of the book in a science laboratory in Coal Hill School (however this would appear to be either a different edition or a different book altogether as it has a different cover than the one Susan read, though the copy Ace found likewise did not credit an author). In the early 21st century, Clyde Langer was seen reading a different book of the same title, ostensibly for his history class, though he preferred to use it to shield himself as he drew comic strips. (SJA: The Curse of Clyde Langer)

A book entitled The French Revolution made its way into the Library of the 51st century, but it is unknown if it is any of the above books, or one of the many other books that carried this title over the years. (DW: Silence in the Library)
