Although we do have {{tl|section stub}} and {{tl|section cleanup}}, this idea of having a stub template that tells you why an article is a stub was never actually adopted, and it is now no longer possible. Stub templates now appear outside the page borders in a tiny tag which wouldn't allow for the space to give additional text. However, {{tl|section stub}} is differently-formatted from every other stub template, and it ''could'' be altered to allow for additional text. I personally wouldn't recommend it, however, as it could quickly grow to really ugly proportions. {{user:CzechOut/Sig}} | Although we do have {{tl|section stub}} and {{tl|section cleanup}}, this idea of having a stub template that tells you why an article is a stub was never actually adopted, and it is now no longer possible. I've tried making use of the section stub template on pages where only one section is in need of major addition, for example the plot on State of Decay. I think this is a better way to identify areas for addition but would like to know if it's what others want?--Skittles the hog 19:46, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
- I think all TV stub, should have the TV stub template on them, as a way to identify them easily. But I think the section stub works very well with it, as some User may not know why certain pages are stubs, so putting the section stub on them does make scene. Or we could edit the TV stub template so that User's leave a message on the stub, like the {{proposed deletion}}. For example a User would see a TV page that is a stub, and put {{TV stub|Plot}}. It seems a bit strange to try to replace the TV stub with a section stub that places the article in the stub category, instead of the TV stub category... Mini-mitch 19:51, September 25, 2010 (UTC)
- I agree, I think this could be a neat way to add to the existing stub templates rather than replacing them. Rob T Firefly 11:33, September 26, 2010 (UTC)
- Also agree with regards to adding to the TV stub (we can also add same thing as the prop delete to all the stub tags; prose, comic, species etc)
- I was thinking about creating a special 'cat:section stub' but wasn't really sure if that was the way to go as even then we'd end up with the article being in two stub categories if it has the section stub and the over all stub tag on it. --Tangerineduel 16:28, September 26, 2010 (UTC)

Although we do have {{section stub}} and {{section cleanup}}, this idea of having a stub template that tells you why an article is a stub was never actually adopted, and it is now no longer possible. Stub templates now appear outside the page borders in a tiny tag which wouldn't allow for the space to give additional text. However, {{section stub}} is differently-formatted from every other stub template, and it could be altered to allow for additional text. I personally wouldn't recommend it, however, as it could quickly grow to really ugly proportions.
