The GodEngine was a superweapon created by the Ice Warriors from remnants of Osirian technology left on Mars long ago. This device was capable of destroyng a star by making it go supernova.

To accomplish this, the GodEngine required the use a planet with a single magnetic pole. Furthermore, the Sword of Tuburr served as the activator key for the weapon. (NA: GodEngine).
