If this thread's title doesn't specify it's spoilery, don't bring any up.
Do you miss the old way of searching? Remember the days when you could just enter "William Hartnell" into the search bar and you'd actually go to William Hartnell? Well, you can get it all back.
Just go to Special:Preferences/Under the hood. At the very bottom of that page is an option that reads, Enable Go-Search. Select it, and you'll be back to using the search bar as a direct navigational aid.
You can still keep the new behaviour around for those times when you want it. Simply intentionally misspell a search and you'll end up at Special:Search's new "results-based" search engine. And frankly, that engine is a lot better for looking for pictures than "go-searching". But if you know where you want to go, you'll probably want to enable Go-Searching.
