The Dalek Battle Computer was a computer interface the Daleks used. The Renegade Daleks placed one on Earth in November 1963. As this Battle Computer required a human interface to act as a creative intelligence, a young child was selected and conditioned to obey the Daleks. (TV: Remembrance of the Daleks)

Appearance and function

The Dalek Battle Computer was similar in shape to a Dalek. When it was used on Earth in 1963 during the Shoreditch Incident it was black and silver and had a young girl sitting in it. The young girl was under the Daleks' control and operated the Dalek Battle Computer. For optimum performance, her body and mind had been augmented by the Renegade Daleks[additional sources needed]. She was able to fire deadly bolts of electricity from her hands. (TV: Remembrance of the Daleks).

Behind the scenes

  • The voice of the Dalek Battle Computer was supplied by John Leeson, best known as the voice of K9.
