Able Hecklington was a noted industrialist in the 19th century. He had a foundry in London. He was eventually killed and his body possessed by an unnamed alien force that takes a gaseous fog-like appearance, who planned to overrun Earth and blot out the sun. While using the form of Able, the alien force killed Jim, a innocent local boy, and also took control of his body. The alien force was eventually defeated by being doused in snow.
