Harry (Devil in the Smoke) was a boy in 19th century London who did not know his last name. He built a snowman with his friend Jim and witnessed the body of a woman fall out of it. He was targeted by Able Hecklington because the latter believed he knew too much about the murder of Felicity Gregson. Harry was saved by Madame Vastra, Jenny Flint, and Strax who paid the man he worked for, Mr. Ransit, in order to keep him in their custody.
