Sir James Wilson Vincent "Jimmy" Savile, OBE, KCSG (31 October 1926-29 October 2011) was the host of Top of the Pops and Jim'll Fix It.
Savile's introduction of "the fabulous Beatles" on the 13 May 1965 instalment of Top of the Pops was featured in The Chase part 1, "The Executioners". Twenty years later, he was a participant in A Fix with Sontarans.
He was one of the BBC's main personalities — particularly popular in the 1970s and 1980s. In the autumn of 2012, ITV journalists broke the news that he was a serial paedophile, and had abused his position as a popular BBC television personality throughout his long career.[1]
