Guybrush (who drew his nickname from The Secret of Monkey Island) is Benjamin McKenzie of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. A long-time, perhaps even old-school Doctor Who fan, he has written fan fiction, attended conventions and once had a way-too-serious article about the Valeyard published in Sonic Screwdriver, the fanzine of the Victorian Doctor Who Fan Club. He doesn't do those things any more, though he does now host a popular live Doctor Who podcast celebrating the 50th anniversary called Splendid Chaps.
