::::I've pumped the little placard up using all sorts of magnifying tools at my disposal and I just don't see the word "Sunflowers". It ''might'' be there but it's really not clear. Therefore, I'm much more in favour of calling this thing by its real world long-form name: ''Still Life: Vase with Twelve Sunflowers'' than effectively "inventing" the name ''Sunflowers''. Don't be fooled by the Wikipedia page; they're just abbreviating for convenience there. The longer name comes from van Gogh's own writings. {{user:CzechOut/Sig}}{{User:CzechOut/TimeFormat}} 17:34: Sun 17 Feb 2013</span> |

Name
Where we gettin' this name from? It's not the real life name of the piece, and I don't recall it from the script, so where's it from?

- You're pretty quick. Well I had to call it something. Check out Wikipedia:Sun Flowers (Van Gogh Series). The initial versions. Picture three. Original version of this painting. They call it "Sunflowers, third version." Good enough for the title for me. --SOTO ☎ 16:25, February 17, 2013 (UTC)
- Unless you'd rather it be called something long and confusing like "Painting with sunflowers," or, even worse, "Painting with sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh." I think the current title is most suitable... – The preceding unsigned comment was added by SmallerOnTheOutside (talk • contribs) .
