Real world people is for the organisation of all people having to do with the production, appreciation or preservation of the DWU. By its nature, however, it is overwhelmingly concerned with people who are involved with the production of the television shows, movie, audios, books, magazines, comic books and other merchandise associated with Doctor Who and her related programmes.

It shouldn't be confused with people from the real world, a category for people who have appeared in DWU narratives, like Marco Polo, Richard Dawkins and David Hasselhoff.
