The ice planet was where the First Doctor left the Monk stranded after working with the Daleks and their Time Destructor. It had a sea and several icebergs. (TV: The Daleks' Master Plan)
Having escaped the ice planet, the Monk lowered the temperature of his TARDIS to remember what being in the cold felt like so as to keep his desire for revenge fueled. He eventually trapped the Seventh Doctor on the planet, intending to leave him for dead. The Doctor was able to escape, however, using a piece of the Monk's TARDIS disguised as Danny Pain's autograph. (PROSE: No Future)
