The Chorister was a servant of the Mummy of Akhaten. He sang the prayer song along with Merry, while in the pyramid. When the Mummy started to awake, it bagged her to "keeping with her slumber". Later, when the Doctor and Clara entered the pyramid, he teleported from there. (TV: The Rings of Akhaten)
