Nisha Nayar played a Red Kang in Paradise Towers and the female programmer in Bad Wolf and The Parting of the Ways. She was the first female actor to appear in both main versions of Doctor Who.
Nayar is perhaps better known for her role as the well-meaning but annoying social worker Elaine "the Pain" Boyak in the children's comedy drama series The Story of Tracy Beaker, a current programme at the time of her appearance on BBC Wales Doctor Who.
