True, but those lights tended to flicker '''without''' the assistance of mysterious goings-on. Makes it a bit hard to tell if the flickering's supposed to be significant. There is a thread in the archives about flickering lightbulbs. And then in The Bells of St John, I noticed flickering lightbulbs *again* in the "breakfast" scene.

Yes, the flickering lightbulbs thing seemed to start in "Asylum of the Daleks" & so did the Clara/Oswin thing. In "The Bells of Saint John", the flickering was associated with the Great Intelligence controlling people. Clara has a connection the Great Intelligence, if only because she retained the computer skills it gave her when she was uploaded. I suspect there's more connection than that but we need to see more of her before we'll know. Better watch for flickering lightbulbs in "The Rings of Akhaten". --89.241.74.216talk to me 12:19, April 6, 2013 (UTC)
I forgot to check in ROA, did anybody notice anything ? But of course in Cold War, she was actually carrying a light bulb, which went out ! I also realised that "Clara" means light/lightness in a some languages. 200.199.23.105talk to me 13:28, April 16, 2013 (UTC)
Not 100% sure about it but there might be some lightbulb flickers in "Hide."--Thunderush ☎ 04:36, April 23, 2013 (UTC)
Well, in Hide, at least, she was carrying candles to ~light the way~...or is that stretching it too much ? (OP here again) 187.78.90.114talk to me 14:39, April 26, 2013 (UTC)
I'm pretty sure there were flickering lights in episodes 9 and 11, seeing as how they involved a crashed submarine and a crashed TARDIS, respectively, and in both cases there were moments when the power failed, if I remember rightly. Anybody seen the Christmas episode recently? 87.102.91.126talk to me 17:22, April 30, 2013 (UTC)
The Christmas episode was set in Victorian times -- gas lighting, not electric, so no lightbulbs. --89.240.243.241talk to me 21:34, April 30, 2013 (UTC)
