exaxtly thats the beauty of river songs character she can appear whenever they want her to .....but i think that considering things that moffat has said and the events of name of the doctor that the next series might not be as simple as 'doctor regenerates and travels the universe with companion' in fact the more i think about it the more my theory above could actually happen87.83.10.218talk to me 14:31, June 4, 2013 (UTC) | exaxtly thats the beauty of river songs character she can appear whenever they want her to .....but i think that considering things that moffat has said and the events of name of the doctor that the next series might not be as simple as 'doctor regenerates and travels the universe with companion' in fact the more i think about it the more my theory above could actually happen87.83.10.218talk to me 14:31, June 4, 2013 (UTC) | ||
The idea of the Doctor being the villain for a season with his companions trying to bring him back to his normal self is a really interesting one. It would give lots of new ideas for writers to explore, and it would be interesting if they bring back some of the traditionally bad guys to play a good guy for a bit (a sort of role reversal) and aid the companions in "fixing" the Doctor. I'm thinking a return of the Master where he tries to help the Doctor return to his normal self, through twisted logic of missing having an enemy so equal to himself as well as some of the remains of past friendship and loyalty. Although I don't think the showrunners are actually planning on doing something like that, I would love to watch it!
