Ruby was a patient at Parkland Memorial Hospital and the wife of Tyler. On 23 November 1963, she was taken to the hospital and moved to the maternity ward due to her impeding pregnancy. However, she fell victim to the Shroud, who took the image of her late husband in the floral patterning of her dress. The Shroud, as Tyler, insulted Ruby and said that her baby was not his, but the Eleventh Doctor quickly blasted it with his sonic screwdriver and disintegrated it. Afterward, he and Mae Callon started to leave, but Ruby quickly said that her baby is arriving.
