On 16 October, a number of things set in or relevant to the Doctor Who universe were released or published.
- 1965 - "Temple of Secrets" was first broadcast on BBC1.
- 1976 - Part three of The Hand of Fear was first broadcast on BBC1.
- 2010 - The Monsters Are Coming! was performed twice at the SECC in Glasgow. (once at 11:00am in a performance open only to readers of the Scottish Sun who collected tokens for free tickets, and again in the evening.[source needed]
