Black Orchid was a book written by George Cranleigh of his travels, which was published in 1925. Madge Cranleigh gave a copy of the book to the Doctor as a going-away present (DW: Black Orchid), which he enjoyed and thought of as very interesting. (DW: Earthshock)
A specially published edition of Black Orchid was included in the vast halls of the Library of the 51st century. (DW: Silence in the Library)
