Deva Loka, also known as S14, was a tropical jungle planet inhabited by the peaceful and telepathic Kinda. A human expeditionary force was sent to Deva Loka to check its suitability for colonisation.

Members of the force went missing and the Mara hampered them. These problems eventually led to Deva Loka being reclassified as unsuitable for colonisation. (TV: Kinda)
