Beran was a Mechanistrian of Mechanistria. He travelled to the haven led by Drako after being informed of the arrival of the First Doctor in the TARDIS. Beran intended to examine the TARDIS to learn its secrets before destroying it, but instead Drako seized his weapon and took him prisoner. The Doctor and Drako took Beran's soarer then Drako forced Beran to jump out. (PROSE: Peril in Mechanistria)
