According to Gwen Cooper, a Roman fort was built in Gelligaer in around 75 AD. When a Roman soldier mentioned Gelligaer while shouting in Latin, Jack Harkness suggested that the soldier had been on his way there and, when time splintered, he ended up in 2008. (TV: End of Days)
