The mysterious David R took over the Defending the Earth! website after Mickey Smith stayed in Pete's World. He replaced the missions with games and added a quiz to test the readers of the website about what he, Mickey, Clive Finch, LINDA and other groups who knew of the Doctor had been researching over the last few years.
By the time of the Battle of Canary Wharf the website was no longer being updated, suggesting David R may have died in the battle. (WEB: Defending the Earth!)
