Alan Bromly (13 September 1915-September 1995) directed the Doctor Who television stories The Time Warrior, broadcast in 1973/4, and Nightmare of Eden, broadcast in 1979. Crew members working alongside him on the latter story faced some difficulty communicating with him on set.
