Blood of the Robots[1], also known as Rise of the Robots (DWI 9), was to be the second story featuring Richard E. Grant as the voice of the alternative Ninth Doctor following Scream of the Shalka. It was written by Simon Clark and was to be directed by John Ainsworth. A six-part adventure, Clark had already written a full episodic breakdown and two of the six scripts, however the story along with the series was cancelled in deference to the Russell T Davies televised revival of Doctor Who.
