The Emperor's New Clothes was a story by Hans Christian Andersen. The First Doctor gave Andersen the idea for the tale. (TV: The Romans)

The Eleventh Doctor claimed to have heard a bedtime story in his childhood called The Emperor Dalek's New Clothes, (TV: Night Terrors) though it was unclear if this story inspired the Andersen tale.
