The vamp was actually an actor filming a role in Hollywood when the First Doctor, Steven Taylor and Sara Kingdom materialised in the Doctor's TARDIS. The "Arab sheik" was discussing his scene with her with film director Ingmar Knopf when the TARDIS crew interrupted them. (TV: "The Feast of Steven")
