On 28 May, he was the recipient of a memo from Kenneth Adam, whose sentiment he immediately passed on to Sydney Newman, who then sent it to Donald Wilson. Adam, and therefore Hood, were concerned that it was "silly" for the First Doctor and his companions to separate every time "danger threatens".
