This Detective Inspector was in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department at the Liverpool police station where the First Doctor landed his TARDIS on Christmas Day, 1965. When the Doctor exited the TARDIS, a policeman arrested him and brought him inside of the station, whereupon the station sergeant sent him back to CID to meet with the Detective Inspector. Steven Taylor, wearing a stolen police tunic, convinced the Detective Inspector that the Doctor was a harmless nutter with whom G Division was familiar. (TV: "The Feast of Steven")
