Phineas Clanton was a rancher and gunfighter who, along with his brothers, had several conflicts with Wyatt Earp and Doc Holliday. He and his brother Ike forced Steven Taylor and Dodo Chaplet to sing for them. They thought the First Doctor was Doc Holliday.
Phineas and Ike sent Steven to the gaol to smuggle a gun to "Doc Holliday". They riled up the town against Wyatt Earp and took Steven hostage, threatening to hang him. Phineas was knocked out by Wyatt and put in gaol. His brothers Ike and Billy broke him out of gaol, killing Warren Earp in the process.
Phineas took part in the gunfight at the O.K. Corral in 1881, where he was shot and killed by Virgil Earp. (TV: The Gunfighters)
