"Just Count to Three" was a song by the Common Men. They played in one night to impress their new friend Nyssa, who claimed to have enjoyed it, despite being used to more classical-type music in Traken. They later played it again in a concert attended by the Fifth Doctor and Rita, when they referred to it as the song that had started their career.
The lyrics to the first verse were:
- When the time comes to be true
- When the time comes, just be you
- Never fear, I'll fly to you
- Any time from out the blue
- You'll know it's me, just count to three
- To one, to two, to three
- You'll know it's me, just count to three
- To one, to two, to three
