The Grand Order of Oberon was an order of Knights during humanity's interstellar era.

History

The Order grew out of the Guild of Adjudicators, which maintained order throughout the Earth Empire period. (PROSE: Lucifer Rising) Their name made reference to the Adjudicators during the 22nd century Dalek invasion located on Oberon, a moon of Uranus, dedicated to beating back the Daleks from the solar system. (PROSE: GodEngine) The Guild of Adjudicators itself continued until at least the 30th century. (PROSE: Original Sin)

Eventually, the Order passed its prime and dwindled. One Knight of the Order, Orcini, was forced to make a living as an assassin. Knowing he would die within minutes after setting off a bomb to try to kill Davros, Orcini gave his medal from the Order to the Sixth Doctor and asked him to return it to them. (TV: Revelation of the Daleks) The Seventh Doctor said afterwards that, searching through Orcini's time, he never found any trace left of the Order. (PROSE: Lucifer Rising)

Behind the scenes
