The Polari or Polare was a method of speech developed in the carnivals of Earth, but which spread out from there.
When Vorg spent time on Earth, he picked up some of the Polari. When he met the Doctor, he believed he was also a showman and attempted to speak to him using the Polari. (DWN: Doctor Who and the Carnival of Monsters)
